

Weather and environment!
Students learned the seasons, the different weather and were able to write essays based on what they learned. Along with the essays, they were able to draw what they wrote. Food and Drinks
Theme: Food and Drinks! Students had fun learning the different food and drink vocabulary and were able to differentiate between Chinese food and American food. Students also had fun ways of learning about food and beverages by making their own menu. #ClassWork


Thanksgiving
Theme: Thanksgiving! Students learned all about the vocabulary of Thanksgiving and each made a Thanksgiving card. They were able to compare the two holidays, Mid-Autumn Festival and Thanksgiving, both its similarities and differences. Students were also having fun in learning how to make Sweet Potato Balls!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Happy Halloween! !! Students learned the different Halloween vocabulary and had a small science experiment of making slime! Each one made their own and had the chance to choose their own color. Role Playing creates motivation and involvement in students to learn.
We believe Role playing is a great method for second language learning. It encourages creative thinking, and allows students to develop and practice the language. Moon Festival 中秋节
Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节 zhōng qiū jié) is celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar. Each year the festival varies according to our calendar, this year was on October 4th, 2017 and in 2018 will be on September 24th, 2018. Mid-Autumn festival is similar to that of Thanksgiving as it is a time for family gathering. Families get together to celebrate together eating moon cake, telling folk tales, and watching the moon.
